After much deliberation I have decided to go to the character performer auditions in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I don't mind being quick service food and beverage but why not try for something else. I mean how fun would it be to be a dancer in the parade and actually call that a JOB. I doubt that will happen at all, but at least I'll have fun trying. Besides while I'm completely failing the audition, I'll be making everyone else look better...so they should be THANKING me. But I wont be alone, I've convinced(forced) Jazmine to come along, so that should be a blasty blast. So wish us luck, because believe me you can bet Genies trousers that we'll need it.

But on a more realistic note since I am QSFB I've browsed pretty much all the possible work locations and have decided that I don't necessarily mind where they place me, because knowing my luck I'll be the girl stuck with a cart selling turkey legs the size of Hagrid in the smoldering hot Floridian sun sweating like Pumba while getting dark and crispy. I know that seems like the worst case scenario but it will most likely be MY SCENARIO. I've been meaning to call Disney and request Animal Kingdom because at least then I can assure that I'll have reasonable hours since DAK closes earlier than all the other parks. BUT if someone put an Astro Blaster to my head then I suppose I would choose:

STARRING ROLES CAFE
Although I want DAK for good hours I would really love to work at the Starring Rolls Cafe which is located on Sunset BLVD in DHS. The menu has loads of baked goods, sandwiches, salads and the Brown Derby signature dessert Grapefruit Cake and of course COFFEE. So its pretty much like a glorified Starbucks. Also another plus is that it opens at 9 for breakfast then closes at 4pm after lunch. Well that's what I read at least.

Home Sweet Home
On a completely different note I am so pleased to announce that our house is COMPLETE!!! I just got word yesterday that Cassandra found a roommate meaning our QUARTET is official! So if your a Fall CP and loitering around Vista Way feel free to say "whats up" to Alyssa, Jazmine, Cassandra and Kristen.

HAPPY UN-BIRTHDAY

I've just watched Alice in Wonderland and to sum it all up, it was BLOODY BRILLIANT a red headed friend of mine would say. So I definitely recommend that you watch it and judge for yourself. Well my birthday is kinda in two days, so i guess that's kind of exciting, I'm going to be 19! Which sort of means absolutely nothing. I sometimes wonder why the ages 19 & 20 even exists, it should go from 18 to 21 if you ask me. We'll that's pretty much all I have to say today but I leave you with a parting gift. It's Jazmine, her sister and myself riding space mountain. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing there, but it seems like my arm is in mid fist pump... Space mountain makes one do the most peculiar things, I mean just take a look at the people in the back. Peculiar indeed.

BEFORE I FORGET,hit me up with some questions... I mean if that's okay with you
If so then just click down there If you've passed the green thing then you've gone much to far my friend.

Friday's oh Friday's how I love you dearly. Well I'm happy to announce that a congratulations is in order, not for me of course that's dead and over with but for Jazmine the newest WDW merchandise cast member! She got accepted just about two days after my last post. YAY She got in, we got in, you'll get in, WE'RE ALL IN...see you in six months. Its weird having to keep living your life as you normally do knowing that in half a year, normal is the last thing it'll be.

On to the actual subject of this post, I've never been to Disney World or Florida for that matter. I've been to Disneyland probably as many times as many times as you've blinked within the last three years, but never to the big WDW. So after some exciting digging I've comprised a list of things that I am most looking forward to once I get to the sunshine state.

5 things I'm looking forward to that just randomly popped into my head:
Try the famous Dole Whip:
A Dole whip is a non dairy soft serve pineapple treat served on Disney properties and very few other places throughout the world unless you make it yourself...successfully. They can be purchased near the entrance of the Tiki room(which is probably why not as people know about this that should). It looks like a mere smoothie to me, but they say its far more than that, it's the best you'll ever taste. Well I like pineapple(except when it's on pizza, where it DOES NOT belong)so bring it on. I'm man enough to try a dole whip...and like it.

Shopping at Company D:
Company D is a cast member exclusive store/warehouse that sells Disney merchandise, local attraction tickets, etc and all for a largely discounted price. Non cast members are strictly prohibited without a cast member escort because the savings are so great haha. Some claim that the some of the merchandise is outdated, but not a single derogatory thought or word will escape my mouth when I'm purchasing mounds of Disney memorabilia for less than half the price. Guess it's going to be Disney Christmas presents for everyone this year.

A visit to Disney Quest:
I just found out this existed, so I'm obviously behind on the times. Disney Quest is a 5 floor indoor theme park equip with games, 3D encounters, rides, etc...It has some pretty interesting attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for Buccanear Gold and Cyber Space Mountain. All the stuff I read about seems pretty legit so its a must for me. Its located in downtown Disney and discounted tickets can be purchased at the previously mentioned Company D.

Lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table:
I've always wanted to eat there, so what if I'm nineteen years old. You may already know this but for the select few that don't the restaurant is located on the second floor of Cinderella's castle and when dining at CRT you not only eat a meal with your friends or family but with the royal characters of Disney themselves. It's a bit pricey for a CP-er ranging from 40 to 60 dollars per adult, but from all the stories, online reviews and not to mention the amazing menu, it's worth it.

Wonderful Wizarding World of Harry Potter:
Uhhh, I don't even know where to begin. I'm definitely a huge nerd when it comes to HP and I've come to terms with that, so don't judge me. WWWHP is a park dedicated to bringing the world renowned Harry Potter adventure series to life via an interactive theme park. You will get to experience Hogwarts and Hogsmeade along with other added high speed attractions to give you a tangible yet surreal Harry Potter experience. Will my right hand man Jazmine and I be making frequent appearances to this magical location? Does Mickey Mouse have two ears?

Besides all of the previous I'm excited for the whole experience, making new friends, living it up in Vista Way, even for the large work load that I'll have to deal with, but I'm ready for it and I know you are too. Congratulations to everyone that made it in this week!!! And to all those that are still waiting just continue to think purple and before you know it you'll be on your way to WDW...some of us for the first time ever.

First post ever, and i bare god news, I've been accepted into the Walt Disney World College Program for Fall 2010!!! Now that I've ruined the ending of a potentially good story let me rewind a little bit, I applied for the WDWCP on January 28th after getting a phone call from my best friend telling me what the program was, then pushed everything aside and made the program my #1 goal in my life. I had my phone interview on February 8th (which I completely failed...or so I thought). My best friend and I both applied around the same time and went over every single possible question together, but when It came down to the wire my brain turned to Disney putty. I always get extremely doubtful after interviews even if I do make it in the end, I suppose it's because I'm my harshest critic. I spent ten days mentally preparing for the rejection that I knew would come so you can imagine my surprise when I heard the exact opposite. It happened like this (hope your in the mood for a little role play).

I got a call from Jazmine (the bestie) at 2 in the afternoon(went to sleep at 6am). I pick up the phone and she asks.
J: Have you checked the CP facebook group??? A butt load of people have gotten accepted?
A:oh really? No I was sleeping, besides I never go on that group anymore because I'll just feel worse about myself. So no thanks.
J:Uhhh well you should! It looks like they sent emails out at at 3am and then again at 11. So check your EMAIL!
A:[sigh]fine
I reluctantly check my email, my laptop if off so I resort to checking it on my phone which for some reason at that moment took FOREVER!! So about a whole minute and thirty seconds go by and then...
A:Ehwmygosh....ehwmygosh...EHWMYGOSH
There it was staring me in the face, the unexpected email, Sender:Disney College Recruiting, Subject:Your Invitation.

J:What?
A:I GOT IN!!!
J:AAAAHHHHH
Then came the tears of shocked joy. I'm not a baby I swear, I just have sensitive tear ducts OKAY! haha, no but seriously I tear up pretty much every time I laugh.

Stranger-"oh my gosh she's crying"
my friend-"It's the third time today"
me:"Well then stop being funny, I don't particularly like having a wet face half of the day"

With all that said and done, Of course I'm looking forward to this amazing opportunity but I'm not as excited as I can be and I wont be at that level until Jamine gets accepted, which I have no doubt in the world that she will. Jaz and Walt go together like Seal and Heidi Klum haha, the point is she doesn't need Disney, they need her. We went in this together so that's the way its gonna be. Kapeesh?
